LG Cookie Smart spotted, a budget dual-SIM device

A low-end dual-SIM phone is expected to be announced by LG soon, called the LG Cookie Smart, with supposed images specifications making their way to the internet.

The LG Cookie T375 Smart is expected to run on a proprietary OS, and come with a 3.2-inch 320x240 pixel display, and a 2MP camera. Other rumoured features include Wi-Fi connectivity, and a weight of just 96g. It will probably be a GSM-GSM type of dual-SIM device.

For now, not much else is known about the LG Cookie Smart, and LG hasn't been too active with the Cookie range recently. If real, the device will almost definitely make it to Indian shores however, with the market known for its love of dual-SIM phones.

LG will be looking to get high volume sales in the feature phone segment, keeping in mind the rather intense competition in the smartphone segment. It is currently in fifth overall place globally, behind Samsung, Nokia, Apple, and ZTE.

Nokia Lumia 610 now comes with NFC Support

Nokia has announced the NFC version of recently launched Lumia 610 Windows smartphone. NFC allows two devices to communicate with each other on radio & also transfer data from one device to other.
Comes with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS and 800 Mhz processor, the smartphone is the 8th one to join the NFC range of Nokia. The Nokia Lumia 610 NFC will be headed to Orange network first. Specification wise the Windows phone from Nokia sports a 3.7 inch capactive touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a high end 5MP camera with geo-tagging and face detection.


Connectivity wise it comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, USB, A-GPS, WAP, EDGE data and boosted by a 1300 mAh battery for up to 720 hours of battert life.

Nokia starts rolling out Microsoft Office for Belle smartphones

Nokia has started rolling out Microsoft Office Mobile apps, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps for Belle smartphones. They announced Microsoft Office Mobile app earlier this February when Microsoft Apps rolled out.

It would provide you quick access to your documents, you can save or send documents using Word mobile while preserving tables, SmartArt and charts, or the pinch/zoom functionality to easily view and edit documents. The PowerPoint mobile lets you edit presentation texts and speaker notes, and the Excel mobile lets you create charts, insert formulae or view rich data and charts from anywhere.

The Office Mobile also gives you a single view to documents, on phone, in email attachments, or in SharePoint.

The Microsoft Office would be available via software update app on your Nokia phone. It is currently rolling out for the Nokia 701, Nokia 700, Nokia 603, Nokia E7, Nokia X7, Nokia C7, Nokia Oro, and Nokia C6-01. It would be available for Nokia N8, Nokia E6 and Nokia 500 soon.

The Nokia 808 PureView will come with the Microsoft Apps including Microsoft Office Mobile app when it begins selling. The Office Mobile apps would also be available for Nokia Store in few weeks.
